Strategy 4: Use organizational structure

In order to understand the lecture better, you need to know its structure which should also be reflected on the notes: how the points relate to each other; which are main ideas and details.

There are two common formats of showing the structure, linear notes and mapping.

Linear style is like an outline.

Mapping: Start with the main point writing in the centre of the maper. Add lines to relate to other points and details.
